Is Ask Away safe for my child?
Absolutely. Ask Away was built with a "Privacy-First" and "Double-Wall" ecosystem. Your child interacts with the AI in a secure, tracking-free environment. We don't ask for their real names, and all chat transcripts are encrypted and fully visible to you in the Parent Portal.
Can I see what my child is asking the AI?
Transparency is a core feature. From your Parent Portal, you have 24/7 access to read every conversation your child has with the AI. You can also permanently delete any chats at any time.
Can I receive emails telling me what my child has been asking?
Yes! There are two settings you can enable in the Parent Portal. A daily transcript of all chats in the past 24 hours and a weekly AI generated summary of all the chats in the past week.
What age is the app suitable for?
The app is designed for kids aged 6-12, however even older children may still benefit from the features. It has been designed to answer questions based on the age of child provided in the parent portal.
Does the AI use my child's data to train its models?
No. We use an enterprise-grade connection to a secure Large Language Model (LLM). The data transmitted is strictly for generating real-time responses and is never used to train public AI models.
What happens if my child asks an inappropriate question?
We have taken a conservative approach to what the AI is allowed to answer. If a question is considered inappropriate, the AI will automatically recommend asking a parent or trusted adult instead.
